I am a political nerd by day, wanna-be writer by night, and a fashionista bargain hunter in my spare time. Bargain Chic is a way for me to take a break from my everyday world of local politics and combine my passion for fashion and writing. 

The Beginning
From a young age, I found myself enamored by fashion, shopping, and saving money. Two of my favorite toys were Fashion Plates and Barbie, and my idea of a fun afternoon was looking through the JcPenny's catalog with my mom and picking out my favorite outfits. I was also quite a frugal kid -- I was known for stashing coins and for finding the best deals.

The Here & Now
So, I suppose you could say I was destined to become the Bargain Chic lady I am today. The thrill of finding something utterly chic and fabulous at a bargain price will never get old, and I will always love sharing my finds with anyone and everyone I know.
